This one was created to free some hero slots. Since in patch 19.5 Defenses Crit is viable, i did some testing and chose most important aspects from 3 monks: dps Pole Smash, AA and Flame Aura without sacrificing anything.
- Hero: Heroic Wave boost > Heroic Wave Healing > Pole Smash damage > Damage > HP
- Defenses: Def Speed > Sky Guard Damage > Flame Aura Damage
- Utility: Def Crit Chance > Hero Crit Chance > Flame Aura Gambit > Defense Crit Damage / Sky Guard Gambit
Sky Guard tower is better when investing in Def crit damage with [Power Transfer] instead [Destruction] (or Mark with [Defensive Critical Damage], but with Defense damage as primary stat instead it’s not much worse and with that, you can utilize all 3 trees of ascension without any need to switch heroes!
If you don’t have max possible relics, change Flame Aura’s Medallion to Mark with [Defense Rate], [Defensive Critical Damage] and [Deadly Strikes].
As for rest of the shards goes, after the change where you can get more stats on gear AND one more shard slot, this one should be also good CC character with water dmg on weapon and [Beacon of the Storm], plus if you have tower that will “oil”: [Fiery Brimstone] with [Burning Strikes] will do nice additional damage.
I like to “play” with build a little, and while this build is Siege Roller Smasher, i have some shards on free slots, that will add some semi-passive bonuses (like [Concussive Chi] or [Betsy Cluster Nades]) and i don’t have any elemental damage on weapon (i’m switching to him for rollers sometimes).
